Warning Description: Blizzard Warning

Warning Date: 3:34 am EST on January 26, 2015

WarningSum:...Blizzard Warning Remains In Effect From Noon Today To 6 Pm Est
Tuesday...

Warning Message:* hazard types...heavy snow with strong winds causing considerable
  blowing and drifting.
* Snow accumulations...18 to 24 inches.
* Timing...light snow this morning will impact the morning
  commute. Snow is expected to become heavy at times later this
  afternoon into Tuesday morning before tapering off during
  Tuesday afternoon. The brunt of the storm looks to occur tonight
  through early Tuesday afternoon... where snowfall rates of 2 to
  4 inches per hour are anticipated.
* Impacts...extremely dangerous travel due to heavy snowfall and 
  strong winds... resulting in whiteout conditions. Secondary 
  and tertiary roads may become impassable. Strong winds may 
  down power lines and tree limbs.
* Winds...north 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* Temperatures...in the upper 20s.
* Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor
visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions...
making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must
travel... have a winter survival kit with you and make sure your
cell phone is fully charged. If you get stranded... stay with
your vehicle.

WarningSum:...Coastal Flood Warning In Effect From 11 Pm This Evening To
7 Am Est Tuesday...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a coastal
Flood Warning...which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to
7 am EST Tuesday. The coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.
* Location...coastal areas of New Jersey and Delaware... 
  including Delaware Bay.
* Coastal flooding...moderate flooding is anticipated around the 
  time of Monday night's high tide.
* At Sandy Hook... New Jersey (sandy hook bay) high tide occurs 
  at 107 am Tuesday... with a forecast tide level of 7.5 to 8.0 
  feet above mean lower low water.
* At Seaside Heights... New Jersey (oceanfront) high tide occurs 
  at 1237 am Tuesday... with a forecast tide level near 7.0 feet 
  above mean lower low water.
* At Atlantic City... New Jersey (oceanfront) high tide occurs 
  at 1250 am Tuesday... with a forecast tide level near 7.0 feet 
  above mean lower low water.
* At Cape May... New Jersey (oceanfront) high tide occurs at 124 
  am Tuesday... with a forecast tide level 7.5 to 8.0 feet above 
  mean lower low water.
* At Lewes... Delaware (delaware bay) high tide occurs at 159 am 
  Tuesday... with a forecast tide level near 7.0 feet above mean 
  lower low water.
* At Rehoboth Beach... Delaware (oceanfront) high tide occurs at 
  1259 am... with a forecast tide level near 7.0 feet above mean 
  lower low water.
* High tide on the back bays... along Delaware Bay and along 
  Raritan Bay occurs later than the high tide on the oceanfront.
* Impacts...numerous roadways will flood and minor to moderate 
  property damage is likely. The Tides and wave action will 
  result in moderate to severe beach erosion.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Warning indicates that moderate or major tidal
flooding is imminent or occurring. Be prepared for rising water
levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property.
Follow the recommendations of local emergency management
officials.
Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be
deeper than you think. You will be putting yourself in danger and
your vehicle may be damaged...leading to costly repairs.
